Joanne Sanders is a children’s author who resides in Baltimore, Maryland. Her second book, Daddy, Daddy, Can I Be Ambitious?, was published in July, 2022. Sanders credits her children for her inspiration and her decision to return to school to get her bachelor’s degree after having become a mother of three. Sanders earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology at Coppin State University. She fell in love with writing and the psychology of positive thinking. The knowledge propelled Sanders to chase her dreams of being an author.
Sanders continued her educational pursuits earning a Master’s degree in Education with a specialty in Family Counseling. She is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education at Notre Dame of Maryland. Sanders is a member of Psi Chi, the Golden Key International Honor Society, the American Counseling Association, and the American Psychology Association. She enjoys gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, and motivating others.
